Gary wa engaged to manage our project for the following reasons:
- The architect is an extremely close friend of ours. We wanted to separate our friendship from any professional relationship, which is a challenge when money, style, 'function over form' and other competing priorities need to be managed.
- We knew nothing about building. It was very reassuring to have Gary there and to turn to for explanation of the various processes, to provide practical economic solutions and alternatives to issues that arose, and to deal with any and all queries, however trivial or naive they may be.
- We wanted someone who was totally aligned with our interests.

The final result was a beautiful home delivered ahead of contract on both time and budget. Gary delivered real value and we are absolutely resolute in our belief we would not have achieved such a successful outcome without his participation.
